Mercedes Benz tweets parking spaces

Uncategorized

Mercedes Benz took its “Park Assist” feature to the streets with this interesting campaign.

Working under the premise that it can be difficult and frustrating to find a parking spot; the automotive company created a roving “Tweet Fleet”.

Mercedes fitted some of its cars with a special device that allowed them to send geolocation data to twitter.  Every time the Tweet Fleet passed an empty parking space an automatic tweet was posted to a dedicated twitter account.  Allowing motorists who followed on Twitter to home in on free spaces.  It was a great way to sync the in-car “Park Assist” feature with the idea that things can be a little easier.  The campaign got the press talking and we’re sure it was also much appreciated by those after elusive parking spaces!Mercedes-Tweet-Fleet
