There’s nothing more impressive than an entrepreneurial spirit – especially if that entrepreneur happens to be fresh out of uni!
Sarah joined the Because team earlier this year after graduating with a degree in Creative Advertising from Falmouth University. Before cutting her teeth at the agency, she was using her creative skills and business acumen to launch her own t-shirt business (more on that below!). We’re proud to call her the youngest entrepreneur at the agency.
When she’s not working on her retail empire, Sarah loves photography and film making. And not only is she an astute businesswoman and passionate creative, she’s also a gifted athlete. Sarah’s been playing hockey since she was seven and she’ll have you know during that whole time, she’s only been injured once!
So what else can we learn about this woman of many talents? Check out her answers to our 5 get-to-know you questions below.
1. Which campaign in your career are you most proud to have worked on?
The campaign I’m most proud to have worked on is my own t-shirt brand, whocarestho.com. My friend Rory called me up one day and said, ‘Whale, hello there’. Somehow the conversation ended with, ‘That would look cool on a t-shirt’. And the next day, we were in business, designing our own logos, contacting suppliers and coming up with even more ridiculous and cheesy puns! We didn’t realise how big it would get until it all happened. Walking into a bar and seeing people wearing your t-shirts was a pretty proud moment for me.
2. Which person, dead or alive, would you love to have dinner with?
I would love to have dinner with Stephen Fry, he could tell me the colour of the sky is blue and I’d still find what hes saying interesting. I don’t think I’d speak much, I’d just let him serenade me with interesting facts.
3. What show are you currently bingeing on Netflix? And what makes it so ‘bingeable’?
I’m currently binge watching Elena of Avalon because my little sister makes me watch it with her. Did you know she has special powers? She can see what’s behind a door without opening it! Oh and I’m absolutely loving The Bodyguard on the BBC – it’s so gripping.
4. What’s your go-to drink? And why?
My go to drink is, bit of an odd one, appletiser. It has a good ratio of refreshment and flavour. It really hits the spot!
5. Name one thing on your bucket list.
Now this is an easy one! I’d love to travel to Tokyo to see the sights and to watch the 2020 Olympics and see England’s women’s hockey squad win a medal!
