Meet Charlotte Griffin, our Junior Art Director

Uncategorized

She’s a creative thinker, coffee drinker and photography fanatic.

Whilst running a social-first content business and simultaneously studying at Shillington design college in the evenings, Charlotte joined the creative team based in the UK, part-time last year.

Despite the fact that the whole office had signed her goodbye card at the end of her 3-month contract, she decided life at Because was too good to give up, and was delighted to be offered a full-time role.

1. Which campaign in your career are you most proud to have worked on?

Working at Because has allowed me to work on such a variety of incredible influencer and experiential campaigns. But, if I have to choose, it has to be the work we’re doing for Amazon’s Home of Imagination which will be launching in Westfield later this year. Even though it’s still a live project, I don’t doubt that it’s something I’m going to be proud of for years to come. It’s been exciting to see our surreal Alice in Wonderland inspired concepts coming to life, and working with some of the world’s top brands is a dream come true. I can’t wait to see it in real life.

2. Which person, dead or alive, would you love to have dinner with?

Easy – Paula Scher, the first female partner at Pentagram. I’d love to learn about her creative process and how her mind works. She’s iconic, always ahead of the game and is the talented mastermind behind some of my favourite brand identities. And hopefully, she would share her latest design concepts with me on the back of a napkin.

3. What show are you currently bingeing on Netflix? And what makes it so ‘bingeable’?

I’ve just finished watching When They See Us, a mini-series based on the true story of “The Central Park Five”. It brings some hard-hitting societal issues to light with the help of award-winning worthy cinematography – it’s a must-see!

4. What’s your go-to drink? And why?

Gin & tonic – not only is it absolutely delicious but it has also been scientifically proven to be less likely to give you a hangover, it’s a win win.

5. Name one thing on your bucket list.

I’m an adrenaline junkie, so I’ve ticked off most of the usual stereotypes, so it would probably be to travel around Asia with my camera, particularly Singapore, Japan & Bali.
