Locker shocker in German Metro promotes audiobook

Uncategorized

A German company, which publishes thriller and suspense audiobooks, came up with this creative way to market its new series.

The intention was to put people momentarily in a situation similar to one of the crime books and make them jump a little. The company placed a pair of prosthetic legs in lockers at two busy subway stations in Berlin and Frankfurt. To make sure the locker was opened by as many people as possible all other lockers were hired by the company so the “Locker-Shocker” was the only one vacant.  With video camera in hand they awaited their victims, who all jumped several feet when they opened the locker. A QR code, attached to the toe of the startling find, took people to a sample download of the audiobook. Clever stuff.Locker-Shocker
