Ready for the “biggest, gayest” Ending HIV Big Gay Out’ event yet?
Because Creative Experiences agency are excited to announce that our ANZ office has been appointed to work with the New Zealand Aids Foundation to deliver ‘The Ending HIV Big Gay Out’ event in Auckland, February 2021, and the following 2 years.
Because were chosen after a request for proposal based on previous successful events and campaigns we’ve done in the LGBTQIA+ space. The team have worked year upon year with long–standing clients such as AGL Energy and Woolworths Group, executing activations at iconic events like Fair Day, Mardi Gras and the Midsumma Carnival in Sydney, and we’re thrilled to add another feather to our cap.
Mickey Power, Marketing, Communications & Fundraising Manager at NZAF states, “We’re very excited about working with the Because team to deliver the Big Gay Out 2021! Not only do they share our values, but we’ve seen previous work they have done in the LGBTQIA+ arena, and believe they are the perfect partners to help us make the 22nd year of the event the biggest, gayest one yet.”
Corinna Homer, Business Director of Because NZ says, “We are thrilled to broaden our client base to an organisation that share the same values for diversity, inclusion and public health. We are so proud of our Rainbow community, both within our company, clients and beyond and are passionate about bringing the New Zealand AIDS Foundation’s vision of the Big Gay Out to life.”
The Ending HIV Big Gay Out is a non-profit LGBTQIA+ fair day that has been running since 2000. The event brings together international artists, local DJs and drag queens and kings to raise awareness for HIV prevention and testing among the queer community. Attendees will be able to test for HIV on-site at the NZAF Burnett centre, and will have access to stalls with community groups, organisations and food and beverages to enjoy throughout the day.
Because will be building on the NZAF’s Big Gay Out legacy to make 2021 better than ever! By celebrating together, we can spread awareness about HIV and build towards ending transmission of the virus for good. What a great initiative to be a part of.
