Alongside the normal entertainment of beautiful old cars and tweed caps was an exciting new attraction; a Tesco store that looked like it had been lifted directly out of the 1960s, complete with hundreds of household brands in old packaging. Greg Bullen designed the store with the original Tesco philosophy in mind, Jack Cohen’s “pile it high, sell it cheap” approach, which helps give the store an authentic 1960s feel. “We poured over archive material,” explains Greg “analysing the look and feel of 1960s stores before designing this unique retro store.” The results are great fun and engaging….Marathon bar anyone?
