An interactive installation has been unveiled at a college in Utah.
“Clouds” consists of bookshelves that cover an entire wall and house 11,840 notebooks – all of which are blank.
Students can take out the books, as they would with actually library books. Yet, in the time they have them on loan they are encouraged to add to them. Doodles, scrapbooking, writing, thoughts and feelings. They are then returned to the library and await the next student to have a go. It is hoped that in time “Clouds” will build up a fascinating archive of the college community over generations.
